Paul Thieberger
Owner
Paul is a native to Virginia, spending his childhood in Fairfax County before moving west to the Shenandoah Valley, where he has been for the last 15+ years and now calls home.
He is a self taught wood worker and artist. Starting in the art of fine furniture and cabinetry, after mastering that craft, Paul’s love for surrealism soon overtook his wood shop and he started focusing on mixed media art, centralized around the beauty, uniqueness, and individualism of the grain itself. To be able to release the unbridled imagination of the subconscious is his drive for the art and by utilizing realistic truth that, like people, each cut of wood, offers it’s own uniqueness to the world, even the lumber cut from the same tree, he is unable to release his own subconscious. He draws much of his inspiration from artists like DalÃ, Picasso, and Escher, with a touch brightness and pop from Warhol and Lichtenstein.
When Paul is not in his wood shop or studio, he can be found working his full time job as sales manager for Keystone Sales and Associates, a Manufacturer’s Rep Agency covering the Mid Atlantic, or goofing off with his two kiddos Lacie and Keira
